Energy Assessment

This is done in two stages -

1. SAP calculations, DER/TER & PEA (Predictive Energy Assessment) needs to be produced by a qualified Full SAP Domestic Energy Assessor (OCDEA) from plan to satisfy Building Control. From October 2010 this will need to be done before commencement of works.

2. Then the second part is done at completion of the build to create an EPC for your building control completion certificate with any changes to the original design included.

We have several qualified assessors within Green Homes and can create competitive pricing for all new properties whether it is a single unit or an entire development.

Extensions

We can also prove large glazing areas for extension to satisfy Building Regulations.

Instruct us to do the SAP Calculations at the beginning and save money on your EPC.

Air Test/Sound Test

We are told by our clients that we are highly competitive in this market and have a nationwide team of engineers that are happy to help before the visit to maximise passing first time for those developers that have not done this before.

It may be useful to search for the latest Robust/Accredited details on the goverment site for a sensible option to achieve high standards from the beginning of the design.

On sites of 2 units or less it may not be necessary to pressure test depending on the efficiency of the design and specification.

The earlier in the build process you instruct, the more money we can save you.

Code for sustainable homes/BREEAM

As part of your planning a condition for CSH/BREEAM may be included depending on which LA you are dealing with. This must be dealt with at the beginning of the design process to avoid additional costs later in the build. Our assessors come from a building background and will help you tailor the assessment to your way of building.

As SAP/SBEM is an integral part of the assessment it's useful to know we are all part of the same team, working together to make this as smooth as possible.
